If you’re unable to complete the online application form, please use this form and email it to clubmanager@aldeburghyc.org.uk or print it out and return to The Club Manager, Aldeburgh Yacht Club, Slaughden Road, Aldeburgh, Suffolk, IP15 5NA.

Under 18 year olds may not be members without a parent or guardian also being a member.

Benefits of membership, include:

• Each member will be issued a Members Card. This can be topped up with money either at the Bar or in the Members Area of the website. The cards give members a 15% discount on food and drink at the Bar and Galley.
• Reduced prices for training courses and private tuition.
• Take part in AYC’s Junior Sailing programme. Throughout the summer holidays a free programme for young members is run daily that gives young sailors time on the water to build competency and confidence.
• A ferry service is available to take members out to their boats, click HERE to see when the ferry is running.

Procedure for joining

The procedure for joining is straightforward and we will welcome you to the club as soon as you take the following steps:

1. Firstly, complete a Membership Application Form. If you’d like to pay by cheque, please post this to Aldeburgh Yacht Club, Slaughden Road, Aldeburgh, Suffolk, IP15 5NA or we will invoice you to make payment by bank transfer/card. If you’d like to pay for the following year’s subscriptions by Direct Debit, please select this on the form or download a mandate form found in the direct debit section below.
2. On receiving your application, we will arrange for you to meet a Flag Officer who will tell you more about the club, discuss your interest in joining and how you may wish to be involved in our programme. All new members must then be approved by the General Committee.
3. Once your application has been approved, you will receive confirmation. Payment will be taken from you and you will receive your membership card and other club information.

Direct Debit

Members are encouraged to pay by Direct Debit. Two Direct Debit options are available.

• OPTION 1: The annual subscription is taken in full on the last working day of January.
• OPTION 2: The annual subscription is taken in 6 instalments on the last working day of the first 6 months of the year (January to June).
