Aldeburgh Yacht Club is a Royal Yachting Association (RYA) recognised training centre running courses for every level from beginner to expert, including power and safety boating and first aid.

Our courses and programmes can take you from never having stepped foot in a sailing dinghy to being self sufficient in challenging conditions and planning exciting adventures on the water or honing your racing skills at a regional level.

Developing skills on the water is the best way to gain essential skills, but dry land is also a valuable setting to learn other important skills to reinforce our resilience in challenging situations and conditions.

What better setting could there be to support a community, give back to other club members, take advantage of an ‘Employer Supported Volunteering’ Scheme, get a taste for instructing or develop newly acquired skills. There are volunteering opportunities on the water or on land within the club and through our local outreach partner, The Schools Sailing Trust.

Whether you want to arrange a course outside of our scheduled programme, focus on a particular skill, get back into the rhythm of everything before the season, arrange a taster session or recap skills before a course we can support all ages, abilities and objectives in dinghies and powerboats.
